Exists in the storm.
A billion futures,
Of opportunities and regrets,
Chances, challenges and choices,
Each to be made,
Each to be taken.
The future unbound,
Existing in loose leaf sheets,
Embryos of existent possibility.

At each beat of the butterfly's wing,
The ferment of future possibility changes,
Flitting from success to failure,
Searching for the one true future.
Like a silent movie,
Frames of films,
Flicker in and out,
Frame by frame,
Searching for a certain probable reality.

The final wing beat,
The beating heart of the past and the butterfly cease,
As the body of history spirals to the earth,
The storm ends,
A choice is made,
A future begins,
At the death,
Of the butterfly in a typhoon.
