This one was inspired by Dawson's creek. Joey was talking about how she was inspired by a quote scribbled on a bench. The quote was "Hope dies last". This coupled with the idea of a final life song of a dying swan gave birth to the poem

Your last latent lament,
Sorrowful tale of hope,
Forlorn story of faith,
History of sacrifice.

The notes fly free,
Into the colder winter chill,
Crystal sharp sound of light,
Spaced with silence, so dark.

A life in one song,
Operatic dreams and nightmares,
A chorus of joy,
A final bar of sadness.

Knowing the truth,
Giving away all,
Nothing left remains,
Final tears of sadness and joy shed.

The last still sounds fill the air,
A final journey begins,
As the last note echoes across the ripples,
Hope dies last.
