Dreams, Contrasts and Realities
Realities:
The Cherry Tree -
Herald of Spring
I
As winter ebbs away,
Blood and nature stirs anew,
Nature prepares in hiding,
The awakening of spring.
I seek the herald of spring,
Tears of innocence,
The blossom of an angel,
Nature's joy of earth.
The humble cherry tree,
Chosen as the herald,
Midwife of nature,
Bringing spring into the world.
II
Blossoms caught in the breeze,
Swirl in eddies around my feet,
Dew dampens the grass,
Cool against my toes.
I feel the energy of nature,
The tender caress of spring,
Rising from the earth,
Giving strength and nurture.
Between my fingers,
I feel the gathering spring,
Fresh life flows from the branches,
And in my world spring begins.
